Great friends, good food and relaxation!

Happy belated Memorial Day everyone! Last weekend my good friend, Bernouche, came to visit and we had a blast! Showing her around The Triangle turned into a food tour!

Pictures tell a much better story of our time together, so here goes!

Friday night, B lands and we head to Beasley’s Chicken and Waffles in Downtown Raleigh. Their main dish is amazing, and we started with the Shrimp. The Nehi Peach Soda brings me back to my childhood!
White Sangria at Fox Liquor bar after dinner. The underground bar is sexy and just around the corner from Beasley’s.
Saturday evening: Tasty Ceviche at Ceviche’s in Wilmington, NC after an extremely relaxing day at Wrightsville Beach.  Gotta love fresh seafood!
Waiting for the doors of Finding Neverland to open on Sunday afternoon in Downtown Durham. The musical was fantastic. Gotta spend more time at DPAC this year!
Memorial Day. Memorial Flag, 2005. Dave Cole. Acrylic on panel with mixed media.
We spent a couple of hours at 21c Hotel and Art Gallery in Downtown Durham. We enjoyed the beautiful art on display. This piece  by Dave Cole is made of up 18,000 plastic toy soldiers and painted as the American Flag. #wewillnotforget
Honey Lavender Ice Cream at The Parlour in Durham. Delicious!

It was a wonderful time with a wonderful friend. Thanks B for sharing the weekend with me and helping me rediscover the city!

Next guest.. @a.hiroko7. Check out her adventures this summer, www.ahiroko.com ,  and catch up with us both when she visits in July!
